Questions

Do I need a card to try it?

No. The 30-day trial needs only an email address. Subscribe whenever you're ready; if you do it during the trial, the first payment waits until the trial ends.

Do I need my own AI account or an "API key"?

No. Casey, the photo reading and the value estimates are all included in the price. There are no credits to buy and nothing to set up: it just works.

What happens when the free trial ends?

If you haven't subscribed, the collection becomes read-only: you can still look at everything and download it, and subscribing brings it all back. If you don't subscribe, it closes after 30 days and is deleted for good 30 days after that. We email you before each step, and if you need more time to decide you can add 30 days to the trial once.

How do I pay?

Through PayPal, once a year. You can use your PayPal balance or a card through PayPal. It shows on your statement as MYTRAINS. Cancel any time in your collection's Settings, under Subscription.

What happens if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted straight away. After 7 days the collection becomes read-only (you can still look and download), then after 30 more days it closes, and 90 days after that it may be deleted, with emails at each step. Subscribing again brings it all back.

Who can see my collection?

Only you and the people you invite. A movie, an item or your Showcase that you share can be seen by anyone with its link, until you turn the link off. Values, prices and where things are kept are never shown.

Which plan do I need?

The one that holds your collection: Starter up to 150 items, Collector up to 500, Serious up to 1,500, Estate up to 4,000. Every plan includes everything; the only difference is how many trains fit. The trial holds everything, so you can load your whole collection first and pick the plan that fits when you subscribe.

What is a founding member?

Everyone whose collection starts in 2026, our first year. Every plan holds 50 more trains for you (Starter 200 instead of 150, and so on), for good, at the same price.

What counts as an item?

Each thing you keep a record of: a locomotive, a car, a transformer, a building, a whole set. Items you've sold count, because their photos and records are kept. Your want list doesn't count, and neither does anything in the archive.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Moving up starts at once: you pay the difference for the rest of the year you've paid for, to the day. Moving down starts at your next renewal. Nothing is ever deleted for being over a plan's size; you just can't add more.

Can it tell me what my trains are worth?

Yes, on every plan: an educated estimate. Press "Estimate its value" on an item and our AI researcher looks for recent sales and listings online, then shows a price range with links to everything it found. It is not an appraisal: condition, the box and the exact version matter a lot, so check the sources. The value you enter yourself is the one used in your totals and reports.

Can I bring my spreadsheet?

Yes. Save it as a CSV file from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, import it, check the preview, and it all comes in at once.

What is the family contact?

Someone we can reach if your subscription ever lapses, so a collection record isn't lost. We don't email them unless that happens, and they can't see anything unless you invite them.
