Who can see your collection
Your collection is private. Here's exactly what anyone else can see, and when.
Step by step
- Only the people listed under People in your collection's settings can open it: you, plus anyone you invite as a viewer or editor.
- Nothing is public until you make a link. Each link shows only what it was made for: one movie, one item, or your Showcase. Stop sharing turns it off at once. To see every link you've made in one place, open Account → Your shared links.
- An item link or the Showcase shows the photos and what each piece is (title, type, maker, catalog number, scale, road, era and condition), with your forum name and profile picture. The story only shows if you tick it.
- Photos are shown through private links that stop working after a short time, so a copied photo address can't be passed around. Shared photos are copies without the hidden details a phone adds (like where it was taken).
- The QR code on a label opens the item only for someone signed in who can already see your collection.
- Receipts and appraisals on an item open only for the people in your collection. They never appear in slide shows, movies, the forum, labels or share links.
- When you share an item in the forum, members see what it is (title, type, maker, catalog number, scale, road, era and condition) and one photo. What you paid, its value, where it's stored, its serial number, its description and its story are never included.
Values stay yours
Values and prices are seen only by you and the people you invite, and in the reports and downloads you make. Labels, share links, the Showcase and forum posts never show them, nor where things are kept, serial numbers, or how big your collection is.
Taking it with you
