Keep receipts and appraisals with an item
Attach the receipt, an appraisal or a certificate to the item it belongs to, as a PDF or a photo of the paper.
Step by step
- Open the item and find Receipts and appraisals, under its details.
- Choose Add a receipt or appraisal.
- Under What is it? pick Receipt, Appraisal or Other paper. Add a short note if you like, such as where you bought it.
- Choose the file. On a phone you can take a photo of the paper right there, or pick a PDF from your files.
- Choose Add. It's listed on the item straight away; tap it to open it.
What you can add
PDF files, and pictures (a phone photo or a scan), up to 40 MB each and 20 on one item. A photo of a paper is shrunk a little before it's sent, so it goes up quickly and stays easy to read.
Who can see them
Only you and the people you invite to the collection. Receipts and appraisals never appear in slide shows, movies, the forum, labels or share links. See Who can see your collection.
In your reports and downloads
The insurance report lists what's on file for each item and prints the pictures at the back. PDF files stay separate: Settings → Download everything has them all under Receipts and appraisals, and the family handover pack includes them too.
Removing one
Remove takes it off the item's list but keeps it under Removed papers, where you can bring it back.
